Laura Ann Dickson Casi

Laura Ann Dickson Casi was born on November 12th, 1979, in Dickson, Tennessee. She passed away on July 4, in Louisville, Kentucky at 42 years of age. She spent her early years thru the second grade in Saudi Arabia. Upon her family's return to the USA, she attended public schools in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, graduating from high school in 1998. She attended college at East Tennessee State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and then worked in the hospice/oncology unit at Johnson City Medical Center. Laura went on to earn her APRN degree fulfilling a goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.
After graduation, she relocated to Portland, OR and worked at The Oregon Clinic as a practicing oncology nurse alongside leading oncology researchers. She later relocated to Louisville continuing her work in research, interventional pain management, and became certified in aesthetic medicine. She went on to further her education in medical billing and coding.

Laura is survived by her 11 year-old son Ben, Lana (her dog), parents Maury and Terry Dickson of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; sister Cindy Snyder (Phil) of Louisville; brother Jeff Dickson (Katy) of Winchester, Virginia; three nephews Ty, Skip, and Everest; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Laura is also survived by her ex-husband John Casi, his parents Paul and Joan Casi, and their extended family.

Laura's memorial service and mass will be held at the Epiphany Catholic Church Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:00am, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road Anchorage, KY 40223.
