Larry Richard Wright

Larry Richard Wright, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He retired after 30 year working for CSX railroad. He has been a member of Atwood Wesleyan Methodist Church all his life. He was an avid UK fan who never missed a game. Larry will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on July 20, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to Marcus and Dorothy (Fox) Wright. He is preceded in death by his Father, Marcus P. Wright, Mother, Dorothy Louise Wright, Brothers, David L. Wright, George H. Wright, and Kenneth R. Wright.

Larry is survived by his loving Wife of 59 years, Linda Darlene Wright, Sons Steven D. (Suzanne) Wright and Jeffrey A. Wright; Grandchildren, Alexandrea Jacobs, Dylan Jacobs, Meghanne Wright, and 4 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters-In-Law, Joanne Wright, and Linda F. Wright.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
