Larry Walton Wright, a cherished resident of Louisville,, departed from this world on, August 23, 2024, at the age of 75 with his family by his side. 

Born on September 7, 1948, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Maxey and Norma (Huffines) Wright. He is also reunited in spirit with his beloved dog, Harley, who accompanied him in life’s joyous moments.

Larry’s legacy endures through his devoted wife of 54 years, Linda Sharon Wright, and their children: Christi (Ben) Jackson and Brad (Heather) Wright. He was a proud grandfather to Brady Jackson, Lucas Wright, Catherine Wright, and Riley Jackson. Additionally, his memory will live on in the hearts of his sisters, Susie (Jimmy) Morehead and Lisa (Terry) Chandler.

Serving honorably in the United States Army, Larry met the love of his life, Linda, during his tenure as a Military Police Officer at Fort Benning, Georgia. His military service was a source of pride, reflecting his commitment to his country. After returning to civilian life, he dedicated 45 years to the printing industry, where his work ethic and integrity were admired by many. Larry enjoyed bowling, hunting, or cherishing time spent with his family. 

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, scheduled for Tuesday, September 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A heartfelt Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the same location, followed by burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions be made in Larry's memory to the Kentucky Veterans Association, honoring his service and commitment to others.
