Larry Coleman Thompson, Sr.

Larry Thompson, Sr., 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Larry was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. Larry's passion in life was playing the drums. He will be deeply missed by all that had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on November 9, 1955 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Joseph and Beatrice (Nelson) Thompson. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Glasser; father, Joseph Thompson; brother, Eddie Thompson; sisters, Joyce Thompson, Phyllis Thompson, Carol Thompson; and step-father, Kenneth Glasser.

Larry is survived by his loving family, fiance', Jane Davis; children, Keith (Lynn) Thompson, Deanna (John) Thompson, Larry (Brandi) Thompson, Jr.; grandchildren, Shelby, Devin, De'Jon, Joanna, Ashlyn; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Collin, Sutton; sister, Linda Thompson; brother, Harold Thompson; his beloved dog, Trixie; as well as a host of extended family friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
