Larry Strange

February 15, 1953 — October 1, 2012

Larry Strange, 59, of Louisville Kentucky died Monday October 1, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Bardstown, the son of the late Harold C. and Aurelia Ballard Strange, Larry graduated with a Business Degree from University of Kentucky in 1975 and was a reporter for the Harrodsburg Herald for the next few years. He then obtained his Masters in Education from University of Louisville and taught with JCPS for many years to follow. He loved the NYC theatre and supported the arts avidly, locally as well as in his travels. Larry circled the world with gusto spending quality time in China, France, Ireland, Brazil, Australia, et al and was an inveterate member of many cruises. Bridge was his sport and he greatly excelled at it. He was also a big proponent of animal rescue organizations and all the animals loved him in return. A frequent resident of St Augustine Fl, he favored the beach at sunset as often as possible and considered it his home away from home.

He is survived by his beloved of 40 years Kathleen Christine, older brother John (Kuni), sister Carol (Walter), sister Wanda, the entire Christine family, many nieces and nephews, and his two rescue dogs, Barnaby and Dray.

The services will be private. The family suggests any memorial gifts be made in his name with the Shamrock Society, the Animal Care Society, or Hosparus of Louisville. He will dearly be missed.

I CARRY YOUR HEART WITH ME,
By E.E. Cummings

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)I am never without it(anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)
