Larry Gene Sidebottom, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
He was born on December 29, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Edna (Younger) Sidebottom. Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, compassionate grandfather, and loyal friend. Before his illness he enjoyed spending time out on the green swinging his clubs and horse racing. He also enjoyed sitting down with friends and family having a nice glass of wine and sharing stories. Thanks to his incredible dedication and work ethic he was a great role model to his friends and family. He will be truly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Edna Mae Younger Sidebottom and Father William K. Sidebottom Sr.
Larry is survived by his loving Wife of 30 years, Penny Chaney Sidebottom; Daughters, Lori McDowell (Dwayne) and April Williams (Todd); Step-children, Jacque Chaney, Joe Creeden (Erin), and Josh Creeden; Grandchildren, Candace McDowell, Andrew Smith, Greg Smith (Jaimee), Meghan Hodge (Spencer), Natalie Williams (Calen), Spencer Creeden, Carter Creeden, Parker Creeden, Stella Creeden, Norah Creeden and eight Great-grandchildren; Brothers, William Sidebottom, Jr., Ronald Sidebottom, Robert Sidebottom, and Roger Sidebottom (Cheryl).

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday April 21, 2024, at 1:00pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr. Louisville Ky, 40243.
