Larry Marcum , 58, of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on June 4, 2018.
He was born on December 5, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to Fred Marcum, Jr. and Alice (Gruneisen) Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Marcum, Jr. and step-father Marvin Carpenter.
Larry was a 1979 graduate of Eastern High School and was active in the ROTC Program, he volunteered for the Middletown Fire Department for many years.
After spending several years in Louisiana he returned to Louisville where he was employed at Wal-Mart for over 25 years.
He is survived by his children Jermy Marcum (Sandy) and Kayla Marcum, mother Alice Carpenter, sisters; Donna Sexton (Warren), Lorie Marcum and Dennis Marcum (Oda), nieces Hailey Gray, Lula Mae Gray, nephews, Dylan Gray, Shawn Gray, Branden Sexton (Heather), Nick Puffer (Elise). He is also survived by two grandchildren Samantha Farbe Marcum and Collin Marcum
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
His funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (161 St. Matthews Ave #3 Louisville, KY 40207).
