Larry Neal Cooper

Larry Neal Cooper, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

He was born on August 3, 1948 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Sam and Nell Ruth (Herrington ) Cooper . Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wiseman Cooper. Larry graduated from Bowling Green High School, where he won the 1966 Baseball State Championship Game. After high school he went on to graduate from WKU with a degree in Engineering. After retirement he loved to go golfing and spend time with his family and friends. Larry was a avid golfer, U of L fan, was a member of the Knights of AC and was a long time member of St. Simon and Jude, where he was Baptized.

Larry is survived by his loving children, Sarah Morris, Zachary (Amanda) Cooper and Aaron (Samantha) Cooper, grandchildren, Olivia Russell, Chloe Morris, Mary-Kate Cooper, Callie Morris, Sutton Cooper, Emma Cooper and Saylor Cooper, his siblings, Jerry (Sherleen) Cooper and Allen (Bonita) Cooper, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 7th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
