Lanny Northener

Lanny Northener, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Lanny was a true sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports shooting. He was humorous and always had a joke to tell. Lanny had a social group of friends that he enjoyed meeting at McDonald's every morning. Recently, Lanny traveled out west with his family, visiting 15 states, and he enjoyed the nature. Lanny will be truly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on April 17, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Mildred Brown. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy (Cathy) York, Jimmy Northener and Ricky (Debbie) Good.

Lanny is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lona Northener; sons, Shawn (Kim Brown) Northener, and Eric Northener; grandchildren, Brad Northener, Lindsay Kirk, Nathan (Leah) Northener and Makenzie Northener; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway.
