Lanny Middleton

May 31, 1941 — March 22, 2013

Lanny E Middleton, 71, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2013. He was born on May 31, 1941 to George and Hazel Middleton. He was in the Indiana National Guard and later became a member of the American Legion. He coached for the New Albany Little League throughout the 70s. He retired from Brown Forman. He and his wife opened a craft shop Middy's Saw n Sew and did craft shows for many years. It was one of his greatest joys to make toys for his grandchildren. He belonged to Scottsville Christian Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Phyllis (Moon), two sons and a daughter. Trent (Lynn), Darryl (Marcy), and Tamara; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Cravens (Justin), Ashley Bullington (Josh), Isaac, Cheyenne, and Dakota; and 4 great grandchildren, Lydia, Kai, Jayden, and Hadley.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Tuesday. Funeral will be held on Wednesday March 27th at 11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany.
