Lanise Faye Lockridge was born on September 22, 1957 to Alma Jean Harris and Charles T. Lockridge, Sr.
Lanise accepted Christ at an early age and made sure her children knew Christ as well attending Bethel Baptist Church with her children.
Lanise was a people person and made many friends. She loved cooking, dancing, spending family time, and definitely wasn't afraid of hard work. She attended Central High School, then attended JCC for Nursing. Lanise worked many years at Louisville Bedding before working at the Hall of Justice for years. In her later days, she got into nursing again and was a nurse at Parkway Medical for many years.
Lanise was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to mourn her 3 children; Dannise Lockridge, Patrice Lockridge, and Raeshawn (Nina) Lockridge; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also left to mourn are her two brothers, Donald Lockridge and Charles Lockridge Jr.; and her dear uncle James Albert Mosley.
Lanise was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Harris and Charles Lockridge, Sr.; as well as her brother, Ronald Lockridge.
Lanise was called home on July 17, 2023 and will truly be missed.
Lanises' family have chosen to carry out her wishes of cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
