Kurt A. Sheets

Kurt A. Sheets, 44, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Kurt worked as a Union Millwright and dearly loved his family and friends. He enjoyed boating on the lake and loved the outdoors. Kurt's favorite thing of all time was collecting carnival glass.

He was born on December 29, 1978, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Christopher Sheets and Laurel (Young) Sheets. He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Mark Sheets.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Sheets; mother, Laurel Sheets; children, Aliyah Sheets, Sammarra Cunningham, Austin Sheets, Lillie Cunningham, and Kurt Sheets; brothers, David Sheets (Cindy Sams), Mike Sheets (Lisa), and Mike Belviy; nephew, Terry Sheets; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
