Kristian James "KJ" Tabler, age 17 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He was born on July 11, 2006. KJ was the spitting image of his dad, more so if Kris had hair, but he also inherited his love for shoes from BOTH of his parents, so much so, he displayed them on his bedroom walls for a while. From the day KJ was born, Jessica always dressed him in the cutest outfits, so he inherited dressing fly from his momma. There were times he would not get out of the car if he didn't match. His hair became his signature trait, and he would not leave the house until it was perfect and then he had to smell good too. KJ and his momma were thick as thieves, and Kristian was her heartbeat. KJ's favorite times with his dad were hanging at the lake, swimming, fishing, and, of course, shopping. Whenever Kris would ask him where he wanted to eat, he would always choose 5 Guys, not because it was his favorite burger joint, but because it was Kris' favorite. That was the type of person Kristian was, always putting others first. KJ was an incredible person. He had the biggest heart that was filled with love, kindness, and compassion. He may have seemed quiet, but for those who knew him he was funny and oh so goofy. Always making people laugh. KJ's Papa was one of his favorite people. Whenever he would call, Papa was there in a heartbeat. From breakfast to rides to school, or wherever KJ needed to go, Papa was there. Just like his Nana, he enjoyed spending time with her whether it be Christmas shopping at Walmart (sneaking him extra presents) or their annual trip to Ohio for their family reunion. KJ's Meemaw would send him money every holiday, Flag Day, Memorial Day, etc and he would light up with every card. Kristian's first best friends were his Peepaw and Papa. Hanging out with his Peepaw was one of his favorite things to do. Now they are together watching over us all. KJ loved his video games, and his gaming chair is now his cat's, new favorite bed. He recently started his first job at Kroger and was excited to be cashing those paychecks! As a kid he was obsessed with his Hot Wheels, and as he got older, he loved to drive and just ride around, still loving cars. He had a love for the outdoors, and you would find him going for walks all the time. He may not have played sports in school, but he loved to play basketball and football with his friends. KJ would play HORSE in the backyard with his mom and kick her butt when he had a nothing but net shot from the deck (she may deny this). Kristian loved his friends and family. His friends, Byron, Brenden, and Nas were his world, but most of all he loved his momma! KJ was a student at Eastern High School.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Pafundi (Peepaw).
KJ leaves to cherish him memory his mother, Jessica Scicchitano; his father, Kristopher Tabler (April); siblings, Alexis Bell, Jaden Huseby, and Patience Huseby; maternal grandmother, Jeanie Davis - Meemaw (Earl); paternal grandparents, Larry and Susan Tabler; paternal grandparents, Cynthis and Bobby Strickland; and a host of relatives and friends.
