It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Kip Wayne Dix, who departed this life on November 30, 2022, at Baptist Hospital East.
Kip was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 13th 1963, to Barbara Dix and the late Kenneth Dix Sr. Kip shared his life with his loving wife of 36 years, who he met the summer before their 5th grade year. He was a devoted father to his six children and a wonderfully adoring Pawpaw to his 14 grandchildren. He loved fishing, hunting and carpentry work all the skills that were passed down by his father. He loved to spend time with his beautiful Mother, and going fishing with his brothers, and spending the holidays with his sister and her family.
But he had other loves to, he loved his Metro family and friends especially Chris Doolin his friend he worked alongside for 18 years. Nothing made him prouder then doing what God called him to do, giving of his gifts and talents, so working was never a job for him. Over the last 44 years Pat's Steakhouse has been his home away from home, he shared a strong bond with his Pat's family.
Kip leaves behind his devoted wife Nannette (Candy) Dix; children, January Dix, Simone Dix, Olivia Dix, Shelby Dix, Justin Dix (Aiyana) and Jacobi Dix; grandchildren, Kaden, Kendall, Trent, Dion, Layah, London, India, Zoe, Jacobi Jr, Jace, Ava, Millie and twins Amarii and Aalia; mother, Barbara Dix; sister, Tanya Ridley (Riccardo X); brothers, Kenneth Dix Jr. and Kelly Dix (Monet'); his adopted in love son, Chucky Wilson; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at First Gethsemane Baptist Church, (1159 Algonquin Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40208).
