Kimberly Ann "Gigi" Brand, 52, of Louisville KY, was called home on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020.
Kim was born February 3rd, 1968 to the late Kathleen Schwarz. She was also preceded in death by her uncle, Charles Peters. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Joe Brand; their children Aly and Kyle Brand; grandchild Kynlee Brand; siblings Mary Rose Lile, Kevin Schwarz, Donna Logsdon, Lori Redmon, Phyllis Gorges (Hans,) Dale Brand and Billy Brand; aunts Rita Ordaz (Ed) and Mary Jeffries; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and several cousins.
Kim was full of life. She had an infectious laugh, smile, and made everyone she met feel important and loved. Her top priority in life was her family. Her granddaughter Kynlee was her pride and joy. She loved her time in the sun especially when it came to watching her kids play ball. She also enjoyed regular date nights with her husband.
Kim was very passionate about her work in health care and her work with nonprofits. She always helped others and put everyone before herself. In true Kim spirit, she chose to be an organ and tissue donor and was able to impact the lives of several other people and their families in doing so.
Viewing will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11 AM to 5 PM at newcomer East Louisville 235 Juneau drive. The memorial celebration will be at 5 PM.
In Lieu of flowers, The family suggest a donation in Kim's memory to the Kentucky and southern Indiana stroke association by visiting www.strokekyin.org/donate.
