Kim R. Maymon, 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a proud member of the VFW Post 3281 in New Albany, Indiana. She enjoyed traveling, dancing at the American Legion and VFW, art, and most importantly the cool aunt that spoiled her nieces and nephews.
She was born on September 26, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to John and Catherine (Hoffman) Maymon. After high school, Kim went to Beauty College and later worked at the Courier Journal in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Kim is survived by her loving siblings, Mona C. (Bob) Lewen, Rhonda (Bob) Eckert, John M. (Susan) Maymon, Joseph M. (Kim) Maymon, Most Rev. Archbishop of Philidelphia Mark A. Maymon, Patrick D. (Carol) Maymon, and Shanon M. Maymon; long time companion, John T. Cochran; sixteen nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
It was Kim's wish to be cremated with services at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted by Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47130).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Kim's memory be made to Floyd County Humane Society or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
