Kevin DeWayne Smith Sr., 59, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Kevin graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He worked at the Louisville Sanitation Department for the city of Louisville, he then went on to be a bus driver for the Jefferson County School District for 20 years. Kevin was the founder of the car club 65 Street Rydaz LLC in 2020. He always loved riding motorcycles and he enjoyed his cars. He was a big Pittsburgh Steelers and UofL fan. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and he will be missed by all.
He was born on July 26, 1961 in Lebanon, Kentucky to Ralph and Barbara (Walker) Smith. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Carrie Smith and Betty Walker; aunt, Donna Coulter;uncles, Charles Thomas and Donald Smith.
Kevin is survived by his loving family, parents, Barbara Smith and Ralph Smith; children, Kela Marie Fuqua and Kevin DeWayne Smith, Jr.; grandchildren, Jaymin Fuqua, Karmin Fuqua, Kevin Smith, III, and Kristian Smith; siblings, Karen (Dwayne) Blackburn, Kerry (Ray) Starks, Keith Smith, Kelly (Shirl) Smith, and Kim Bunton; aunt, Joyce Thomas; uncle, Herbert Walker; significant other, Brenda Sizemore. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
The family requests that anyone coming to the visitation that they have a walk through visitation to make sure that its not over the capacity for the visitation.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Going Home Service will be private family only due to COVID 19.
