Kerry Lane Vannatta

Kerry Lane Vannatta, 76, of Bardstown, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Born on July 18, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, Kerry was the cherished son of the late Emmitt Vannatta and Mary (Mygrant) Rice.

Kerry is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 32 years, Patricia Vannatta, and his beloved children, Kristopher Lane (Carolyn) Vannatta and Amy D. (Andrew Paul) Vannatta. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren, Brooke Vannatta, Alex McMahan, Luke Vannatta, Nickolas Vannatta, Michael Vannatta, and Kal-El Turner, as well as his siblings, Tia Vannatta, Alan (Maureen) Vannatta, and Jeffrey (Dora) Vannatta. He is also survived by several nieces and friends who will deeply miss his warmth and kindness.

Kerry embodied the spirit of family; a true force of nature, he dedicated his life to caring for those he loved. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather and brother whose joy came from spending time with his family and furry dogs. His passions included classic cars and enjoying thrilling NASCAR races, and he upheld a deep pride as a U of L fan. Music always filled his heart, offering him a sense of joy that he loved to share with others. Kerry lived his life grounded in his Christian faith, which guided him in his daily life.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27th, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A Funeral Service to honor Kerry's life will follow at 6:00 PM on the same day.
