Kerry Michael Kirchner

Kerry Michael Kirchner, age 63 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Kerry was born on November 11, 1959. He was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved making others happy and never knew a stranger with his heart of gold. Kerry was also a dedicated and extremely hard worker, having stayed with Reading Rock for over 22 years.

He was an avid UofL fan and an even bigger Raider's fan. Kerry was one of 10 kids and loved each and every one of his siblings with every fiber of his being. He loved getting to watch the sunset any chance he could, and adored Christmas time as he would get to decorate his home with a beautiful array of decorations and lights. He will be indescribably missed by anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Norbert Kirchner; mother, Elizabeth Ress; and sisters Vicki Kirchner and Karen Clark.

Kerry is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Katie A. Kirchner; sons, Shane Taylor, Kirk Kirchner; daughters, Heather Richards, Katie Rose Kirchner; son in laws, Ryan Richards, Antonio Wilkerson; grandsons, Braxton Richards, Knox Richards; brothers, Norb(Kirk) (Karen) Kirchner, Kenny Kirchner, Kelly (Debbie) Kirchner; sisters, Diane Kean, Patty (Greg) Trujillo, Mary Alford, Beth (Damon) Farmer; as well as a multitude of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be 11am to 2pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Kerry's life there at 2pm.
