Kerry Collins

Kerry Lee Collins, 53, of Austin, Indiana passed away on August 27, 2014 at University of Louisville Hospital. He graduated from Austin High School and attended Sullivan Culinary College. He worked as a dry wall hanger and finisher in past years. He attended Austin Community Church of God. Kerry enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing.

He was born on December 15, 1960 in Seymour, Indiana to Phil Collins and the late Sandra Carol (Sweany) Elliott.

He is survived by his dad, Phil Collins; step-mother, Anita Collins; brother, Derek Collins (Stacy); nephews, Ryan and Tyler Collins; step-brothers, Bill and Jim Best; step-sisters, Katie Thompson, Brenda Snyder, Janice Murphy, and Nancy Schellenberger; close friends, Joyce Hickman, Tonia, Tyler, Tiffani, Jessie, and baby Jackson.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral will be celebrated at 6 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
