Keontaye Deshaun Minor

Keontaye De'Shaun "Tayo" Minor was born on January 21, 1996 in Louisville, KY, to Jacqueline D. Minor.

Keontaye fell asleep in death on August 25, 2023. Keontaye was 27. Keontaye will be remembered for his infectious laughter, beautiful smile, and his ability to learn to do anything after being shown just one time. He loved to rap and took advantage of every chance he had.

He is preceded in death by his little brother, Keontez Minor; great-grandmother Floria Irene Pyles; and three uncles, Tommy, Joe & Timothy Minor.

Keontaye leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Jacqueline Minor; grandmother, Tequila Minor; siblings, Keontis Minor, Keontrail Minor, Phoenix Minor, Gina Russell, Shane Minor, and Chance Crenshaw; aunts, Tiffany Minor, Simone Minor, and Gina Minor; as well as a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Words can't convey the hurt we truly feel, knowing you're gone, makes us physically ill.

Your laugh and smile is what we will remember. But now we are crying and sad, all together assembled.

This sorrow is momentary, brief, & short, Because we will see you again that's a promise no one can thwart.

You had troubled times like all of us do, when you wake up, the fun times will start anew.

While we endure the loss of you, we look to a time when sorrow and tears will not be shed, not even a few.

The Bible gives hope that we will see you again. We just have to be patient and wait to see when.
