It is with deepest sadness that I inform you that Kent W. Vogelsang, 61, died suddenly on September 15, 2012. As his only son and one of his very best friends, it pains me to write this.
He was a wonderful father, an amazing husband, and devoted friend with endless advice. He was a great neighbor to all and a genuinely wonderful man. He loved his life and everyone in it. He truly brightened everyone's day with a simple "Hey there" or "Hey, Hey, Hey."
Kent was the owner-operator of Brownsboro Auto Detail Center. He enjoyed working, fishing, helping others, and cheering on his UK Wildcats. Most of all he cherished the time that he and his devoted wife Pam would spend together on the patio every night.
So here's to you Ole Man, we love you and will hold you in our hearts forever. Godspeed!
Kent is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Vogelsang.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pam; son Adam (Kara); mother Marianne Lawrence; and sister, Karin Vogelsang.
A celebration of Kent's life will begin at 3PM on Friday, September 21, at Louisville Yacht Club, 3308 Rose Island Rd., with a memorial service to follow at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society in Kent's honor; he loved his dogs, Buck and Snoop Dawg. Newcomer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
