Kenneth "Rooster" Stinnett Sr., 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
He was born on October 29, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles and Viola (Brown) Stinnett. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy E. Stinnett, daughter, Rebecca Stinnett, great grandson, Charles A. McDonald, siblings, Betty Duvall, Shirley Marrinan, Charles Stinnett, Barbara McCauley, Marcella McCune, Ronald Stinnett, David Stinnett, Linda James, Connie Summers, Wanda Dorton and Kathy Stinnett.
Kenny was a former Teamster and was the owner/operator of Stinnett's Salvage. He was an avid UK fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to yard sales and flea markets and most importantly spending time with those he loved most; his family.
Kenny is survived by his loving children, Mark (Teresa) Stinnett, Linda (Mark) Stuckenborg, Melissa Summers, Dennis Stinnett, Rita Cain, and Kenneth W. Stinnett, Jr., grandchildren, Christina Portman, Lindsey (Josh) McDonald, Chasity Montgomery (Travis), Matthew (Miranda) Stinnett, Jesse Summers, Logan Summers, Nick Stuckenborg and Elizabeth Stuckenborg, great grandchildren, Kaylee Portman, Trey Portman, Lola McDonald, Dahlia McDonald, Carolina McDonald, Olive McDonald, Mia Mulligan, Pearl Stinnett, Jude Stinnett, and expected great grandchild, Annalise, his siblings, Bobbie Stinnett, Wilma (Gilbert) Rogerson and Bonnie (Mike) Stinnett, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss him very much.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Kenny's memory be made to the family to help with final expenses.
