Kenneth Rodewig, Sr.
Kenneth E. Rodewig, Sr., 72, of New Albany passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. A U.S. Army veteran, Kenny was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in New Albany.
He was born on January 23, 1939 in New Albany to the late Joseph and Martha L. (Turner) Rodewig. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Agnes Niemeir, Frances Linne, Martha Manship, Henry and Raymond Rodewig.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marlene S. (French) Rodewig; sons, Kenneth Rodewig, Jr. (Donna), Russell Rodewig (Lou Ann), and Jeffrey Rodewig; sisters, Katherine Kemp and Freida Campbell; brothers, Bill, Bob, and Richard Rodewig; grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Amber, Britney, and Codie Rodewig and Allison Palmatier.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, May 30, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church with entombment to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
