Kenneth Joseph Phelphs, Sr.

Kenneth Joseph Phelphs, Sr, passed away on September 7, 2023. He was a devoted Catholic and a man of faith. Kenneth enjoyed going turtle hunting, fishing and raising rabbits. He was an avid UK fan, he loved watching western movies and going to flea markets with his grandchildren. He loved his family deeply and would give his shirt off of his back. He raised money every year for Crusade for Children and always donated the money he raised.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Phelphs and his granddaughter, Stacy Phelphs.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Kenneth Phelphs, Jr., Catherine (Andy Jackson) Phelphs, George (Tiffany Ort) Phelphs, Melissa (Bobby Ireland) Phelphs and Russell Phelphs and grandchildren, Matthew Doyle, Brandon Phelphs and Nickolas Phelphs

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-2pm.

A graveside service will follow visitation at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY, at 3pm.
