Kenneth Ray Patton

Kenneth Ray Patton, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

He was born on October 13, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Robert Patton, step father, Milt Thomasson, uncle, Vic Patton, and his aunt, Jean Benton. Kenneth is survived by his loving mother, Martha Saunders, siblings, Thomas (Malou) Patton, Robin (Wayne) Hafling, Mark (Sharon) Patton and David Joe Thomasson, Debbie Schweitzer, David Lee (Pat) Thomasson, Mike Thomasson, Cristie Brown and Michael Puckett, aunt, Libby Powers, several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Captain, all will miss him very much.

Kenneth was a former Goshen Volunteer Fire Fighter in the late 1970's, and the Worthington Fire Department in the 1990's. He was also a former grounds keeper at Louisville Memorial Gardens East and worked for the Atria. When Kenneth was not working, you could find him spending time with his family, fishing or spending time with friends at the Waffle House in Brooks, KY. Kenneth was a true public servant that had a selfless and giving personality; which can be seen even at the end of his life when he was able to be an organ donor.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 14th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service celebrating Kenneth's life will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Kenneth's memory be made to the American Heart Association or the KY Humane Society.
