Kenneth "Rabbit" Kerr, 78, of Louisville, KY passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
Kenny was born June 27, 1935 in Louisville to the late Andy and Della (Meredith) Kerr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son John; brothers, Lawrence and Roy and sister, Lucy Young.
He enjoyed fishing and playing golf and was a 1954 graduate of Male High School. Kenny was a high school football referee for 10 years and was inducted into the Kentucky Football Officials Associations (KFOA) Hall of Fame 1992. He also coached baseball in the Louisville Metro Parks Department for many years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Dee Kerr; daughter Kathy Jones (Kyle); sons, Kenneth (Sue) and Danny (Darren); and grandchildren, Burt and Matt Feather, Shannon Miller (Greg), Brittany Whitman (James), Michael Kerr and Chris Young; four great grandchildren and a great grand-baby girl on the way; and sisters, Ruby Johnson, Eva Sadler and Ruth Bentley.
Kenny's memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service.
