Katie Ware , 44, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2020; where she is now reunited with her grandma in Heaven.
Katie enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening, and once owned Katies Kakes. She will always be remembered by her loving and thoughtful personality; always willing to help anyone.
She was born on January 19, 1976 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Barbara Foree Wilson.
Katie is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Kenneth Patrick Ware, daughters, Sara Dee Ware, and Kathleen Nicole Van Meter, mother, Barbara Wilson, siblings, Judi (Danny) Carlton, Rick Edwards, Nicole (Greg) Reidinger, Mary Edwards, Michael Edwards, Christopher Van Meter, Jeff Van Meter, and Lisa Van Meter, a host of nieces and nephews and her warrior dog, Nala.
A memorial visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday, July 12th at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. A service celebrating Katie's life will take place immediately following the visitation at 4pm on Sunday. The family will lay her to rest privately.
The family kindly suggest that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus of Louisville or a charity of your choice.
