Kathy Smalley

Kathy Smalley, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. 

She was born on May 29, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Lina (Westbrook) Gibbs. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Connie Gibbs Armstrong. 

Kathy was a 1963 graduate of Atherton High School and was a lifelong artist and art teacher. 

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jim Smalley, sons, Gregory James Smalley, Dr. Christopher Mark Smalley (Amy), grandchildren, Patrick Smalley, Timothy Smalley, Susannah Smalley, Tracian Walker and great-granddaughter, Hailey Morgan. She is also survived by her brothers, Charlie Cecil Gibbs Jr. (Connie) and Gary Lee Gibbs (Laura). 

Per Kathy's wishes cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be held privately at a later date. 

The family requests that any contributions in Kathy’s memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
