Kathy Jean (Scott) Hill

Kathy Jean (Scott) Hill, 68, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. She was a faithful woman and devoted member of Jones Memorial AME Zion Church. Kathy worked at Baptist Health Floyd for over 22 years and had also been an employee at Humana. She enjoyed doing all types of crafts and was a people person, outgoing and a friend to many.

She was born on December 29, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late David and Dilsey (Hopper) Scott. Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry Hill; children, Shearice Hill and Larry Hill II; siblings, Anna Mae Valentine and Hezzie Turner; grandchildren, Jerren, Shyanne, Mya, Caidan, and Marley; nieces, Renee and Kathy Valentine; nephews, Charles "Chuck" Turner and David Valentine; as well as a host of cousins and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church (258 Ealy Street, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 12:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Kathy's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathy's memory may be made to the Thomas Finley Scholarship in care of Jones Memorial AME Zion Church.
