Kathy Hentchey

Kathy Hentchey, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Kathy was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, and Nana. She was gentle, kind hearted, well loved, and never met a stranger; her home was open to everyone. Kathy enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching Western movies, and giving gifts; she never missed a holiday or birthday. She enjoyed traveling and loved the beach and sand. Kathy was a mother figure to her siblings and cared for them greatly. She was inquisitive and wanted to know everything about everyone as she was the protector of the family. Kathy will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on March 20, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joe and Mary (Haney) Williams. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Williams; and father, Joe Williams.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Richard Hentchey; son, Robert "Ray" (Tonya) Williams; daughter, Lisa Peak; grandchildren, William "Scotty" (Jennifer) Barcus, Brittany Brock, LaMontrez Jackson, Bobby "Bug" Brock, Jr., Justin Williams, Austin "Nink" Williams; great-grandchildren, LaMari Jackson, Dwayne "Liz" Barcus, Savannah Barcus, Jaden Barcus, Cassidy "Bucket Head" Dailey, A'Legend Phife; sister, Geraldine Hack; fur babies, Bella, Milo, Sophie, and Sosa; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 111, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
