Kathy "Kack" Deweese-Curtis

Kathy "Kack" DeWeese-Curtis, 62, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. She was born on June 2, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Kathryn Cornelius. Kathy was a member of Shively Christian Church. She was a hairdresser for several decades and while she loved doing hair, she cherished all of the laughs and conversations she had with her clients. Nothing brought her more joy in life than spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her late husband, Jim DeWeese; a daughter, Jodi "Gogo" Underwood; and 2 brothers, Lee Cornelius and Jimmy Cornelius.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bryan Curtis; a daughter, Jennifer Welsh; grandchildren, Jorden Welsh, Brayden Welsh and Aubrey Underwood; a sister, Lynda Cornelius Greenwell; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 am on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to help offset final expenses.
