Kathryn Jo "Kathy" Slaughter

Kathryn "Kathy" "Granny Jo" Slaughter, age 79 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She graduated from Holy Rosary Academy and retired from Churchill Downs as an executive secretary. Kathy was an excellent seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Elmer and Mary Baird.

Kathy Jo is survived by her son, Michael Kramer (Frankee); step-children, Kathy Weil (Ricardo) and Mark Slaughter; grandchildren, Taylor Tillman (Nick), Amber Slaughter, Krista Lewis (Steve), Dylan Slaughter, Kyle Slaughter and Allison Slaughter; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann Thompson, Bonnie McDonogh, Rita Herdt (Herbert), Kelly Baird (Margie) and Tina Baird;4 nieces and 2 nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Kathy's life will be at 12pm there, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
