Kathryn Sue Dowdell

Kathryn Sue (Taylor) Dowdell, 81, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was a graduate of New Albany High School and retired from Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation in Clarksville.

She was born on February 8, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Russell Taylor and Edna (Osborn) Taylor. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald B. Dowdell; and sister, Rita McCartin.

Sue is survived by her sister, Juanita Carter; and brother-in-law, Robert McCartin.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Sue's wishes.
