Kathleen "Kathy" Martin, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
She was born on June 9, 1947 in Santa Barbara, California to the late William and Jeanette (Johnson) Blades. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne Martin; brother, Gary Blades and sister, Barbara Santos.
Kathy was a sweet, loving lady comprised of stellar cooking, and a love of football, whether it be watching her grandson Noah in middle school , Christian Academy high school, the Louisville Cardinals or New England Patriots, nothing got her more excited!
She adored her 3 grandkids and was the typical spoiling, doting grandma. She loved her church and watching the live stream once she could no longer attend. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and we are grateful for the promise of heaven.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dick Martin, son, Rick Martin (Angie), three grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Noah Martin and Katie Martin. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Blades and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per Kathy's wishes cremation was chosen and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
