Kathleen (Huffman) Kayrouz

Kathleen (Huffman) Kayrouz, 64, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. She was a longtime employee at Welbilt, Inc., in Jeffersonville. Kathy loved cheering on her granddaughters in sports, traveling to the beach, and spending time by the pool. She was creative and artistic and enjoyed reading and listening to music.

She was born on December 19, 1958, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Walter and Mary Catherine (Brady) Huffman. In addition to her parents, Kathy was recently preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Mark Kayrouz.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Sarah Kelly (Chuck) and Traci Kayrouz; sisters, Cheryl Freund (Kevin) and Patty Strain (Scott); granddaughters, Addyson Leonard and Cassidy Kelly; mother-in-law, Rose Vest; cousin, Missy Hargrove (Tony); dear friend, Carey Rutherford; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Kathy's wish was to be cremated, and a gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or to the American Diabetes Association.
