Kathleen Martin Hodge

Kathleen Martin Hodge, 97, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
She was born on November 6, 1925 in Bullitt County, Kentucky to the late Elam and Rose (Horshfield) Martin. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Hodge, sons, Jr. Smith, Kenny Smith and Charles Hodge, grandchildren, Derrick Sego, Ricky Johnson and Anthony Johnson, along with several siblings.
Kathleen retired as a Nurses Aid. A devout Baptist; her faith was extremely important to her. Kathleen was a lover of music and dancing and was a very good artist. She was a woman of many talents and will be remembered for many things by many people. Most importantly Kathleen will be remembered for being a devoting and loving wife, mother, and grandmother; her legacy will live on by many.
Kathleen is survived by her loving children, Ruby (Curtis) Slone, Clyde Smith, Patsy Ann Smith, Susie Smith, Randy (Kayla) Smith, Imogene Elliott, Mony (Woody) Hodge and Ray Hodge, 30 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, her sisters, Betty Gatlin and Ruby West and her beloved RoRo.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11th and 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bullitt County, KY.
