Mrs. KATHARINE PATRICIA (PATTY) CARMAN, age 77, of Anchorage, passed away April 13 after a long illness.
Patty was born March 9, 1934 in Wheaton, IL, daughter of Agnes and Charles LaSalle. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters Mary and Janet. Patty attended DePauw University. She married her husband Jim in 1956 and lived in Los Angeles, in Simsbury, CT and in Anchorage, KY for 33 years. Patty was a loving mother to 3 children, Michael (Jessica), Robert (Cindi) and Katharine (Rosann); 3 grandchildren, Curtis, Madalyn and Jessie.
Patty loved nature and was an avid bird watcher. Her favorite pastime was golf and she was a 7 time club champion at Owl Creek CC. Patty traveled all the US and many other countries. She was a member of Anchorage Presbyterian Church, the PEO Sisterhood, Owl Creek Country Club, the Louisville District Golf Association, the Falls City Golf Association and was a supporter of the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Anchorage Presbyterian Church, 11403 Park Rd. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012.
