Kathaleen "Kathi" Ray, 71, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Born on July 16, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, Kathi was a remarkable individual whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Her talents were numerous; she excelled in songwriting, playing music, and singing, showcasing a creative prowess that endeared her to friends and family alike. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Kathi had a profound appreciation for art, which was reflective of her rich inner world and expressive nature.
Kathi was preceded in death by her father, Paul Charles Ray, and her mother, Peggy Anne Ray.
Kathi cherished the company of her loved ones, fostering warm relationships with family and friends. She dedicated much of her time to attending church and enjoyed the fellowship and community it provided. Among her dear friends, she lovingly referred to her closest companions as her "besties" at River Crossing, illustrating the strong bonds she nurtured throughout her life.
A long-time resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Kathi's love for country music was evident in her frequent visits to the Grand Ole Opry, where she found joy in the performances that celebrated the genre she adored.
Kathi Ray leaves behind a legacy of love, talent, and connection that will be remembered fondly by many. She is survived by numerous loving family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Kathi's memorial service will be held at a later date.
