Karl Mason Sebree of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. He was born on October 6, 1932 in Crescent Hill.
He was the son of the late Howard S. and Ella Mae Sebree. Karl was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn (Scottie) Sebree, and two older brothers, Charles M. and Bobbie B. Sebree.
Karl served in the US Army from 1953-1955. He was employed by Kentucky Central Life Insurance Co. and then later by the American Commercial Barge Line, both in computer processing.
He was a long-time, active member of Middletown Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Hurstbourne Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was also a lifetime member of The Louisville Dulcimer Society.
Karl was a faithful & devoted husband. He loved traveling with his wife and fishing with friends. He had an enormous capacity for humor and enjoyed making others laugh.
Beside his musical accomplishments, he was also quite creative and demonstrated his artistic talents in woodworking and wood burning portraits of family, friends and pets.
Although he had no children of his own, Karl and his beloved Scottie were thoughtful and generous to three generations of nieces, nephews and young friends.
Karl is survived by his niece Karen (Wayne) Barnes, nephews Charles (Linda) Sebree, Jr. and Stephen (Debbie) Sebree; their families and the many friends who loved him. The family wishes to express particular gratitude to John Williams for being such a kind and devoted friend to Karl throughout the years.

A memorial service will be held on January 8, 2022 at 1pm at Hurstbourne Christian Church, 601 Nottingham Pkwy Louisville, KY 40222.
