Karen Faye (Bruce) Walker, 73, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, at her home with her family by her side. Karen was a member of the local American Legion and VFW and loved her dogs and family.
She was born on December 11, 1944, in Mauckport, Indiana, to the late William and Edna (Wiseman) Bruce. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Bruce, Sadie Bandy, and Jesse Bruce.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Alfred L. Walker; sons, Anthony "Tony" Walker (Julie) and William "Bill" Walker (Audra); grandchildren, Kurt Moye, Sarah Pace, and Ryan, Nicholas, Morgan, and Chad Walker; and great-grandchildren, Jamie and Lane Moye.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family requests that contributions in Karen's memory be made to Hosparus - the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
