Karen S. Diehl, 66, of Louisville passed away on December 12, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends.
She received her teaching degree from Morehead State University and her counseling degree from Western Kentucky University. She was employed at Western High School and Jeffersontown High School. Karen was an avid UK fan and was renowned for the many cakes she baked for friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James Cox and Juanita Smith, and her brothers, Jimmy and Billy Cox.
She is survived by her husband, John Diehl, her son and daughter, Jeff (Meghan) and Jennifer Diehl, her grandchildren, Jaren, Jaci, Samuel and Abigail, sister, Patti Shew (Davy), and brother, David Cox, and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Diehl.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive) from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
