Karen M. (Kruer) Book, 53, of Floyds Knobs, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed many things in life especially crafts, sewing, gardening, and spending time with those she loved.
Karen was born on September 3, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Andrew V., Sr., and Roberta J. (Devine) Kruer. She is survived by her children, Jason Book, Kevin Book (Halie), Mandy Shireman (Ben), Richard Book (Amanda); siblings, Victoria Kruer, Rhonda Herley, Andrew Kruer, Jr. (Kimberly), Sherry Ott (Robert); seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 6 PM Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (chapel) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Kevin Book to assist with her grandson, Kaden's, battle with leukemia.
