Grooms, Karen Jean Freimund, 63, of Louisville, passed away Saturday evening after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was surrounded by those that loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Meagan Cullen Stange (Josh) of Louisville, her sister, Toni Ennis Race (Bro. Floyd) of Crittenden, her brother, David Friemund (Loretta) of Louisville, her caregiver, Ron Grooms, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Patricia Brown Freimund, her sisters, Judy Stopfel and Deborah Brown, and her brother, Scott Freimund.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Hospice of Louisville for the loving care and attentiveness in her final days.
Her Memorial Celebration will be Thursday, Dec 27, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home - Louisville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec 27, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Cremation was elected prior to memorial visitation.
