Karen Ernst, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 19, 2016. She retired from Georgetown Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation after a 35-year career as a supervisor in the care of the elderly.
Karen was born on February 11, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William M. and Lizzie K. (Kinnett) Kean. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Calvin Kean in 1974.
Karen is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charlie Ernst; children, Dawanna Johnson and Michael Rogers, both of Louisville; grandchildren, Faith Hailey, Darrin Hailey, Robbie Hailey, Kacey Johnson and Brian Johnson; brother, Darrell Kean of Louisville, Kentucky and Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 30th at Newcomer Funeral Home Louisville East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). Her Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213).
