Justin Trevor Mercer

Justin Trevor Mercer, of Louisville, KY, thirty-three years in this life, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Justin was born August 2, 1989, the son of Jeffery Mercer and Bobbie Jean (Mercer) Browning, in Louisville, KY. Justin developed a love for music at an early age and began taking private piano lessons from Daniel Light at the age of 5. He continued these lessons until graduating from South Oldham County High School in 2007. Later that year, he continued to develop his talent and love for music by enrolling in the music program at Bellarmine University. Justin's love for music was recently sparked again and he had resumed playing and composing.

Justin had a tender heart that endeared him to all that knew him. He was kind to animals and people alike. Justin would have adopted every stray pet had he possessed the resources. He would often go out of his way to spend time with people for whom he felt no one else had time. Justin was a compassionate person who will be missed by all that knew and loved him. We were blessed to have Justin in our lives these short 33 years.

Justin is survived by his father, Jeff Mercer (Karen); his mother, Bobby Jean Browning (Ed); his brothers, Logan Mercer and Jared Mercer; and stepsister, Hannah Miles (Jacob); step-grandparents, Robert and Barbara Clancy; step-grandparents, Jud and Janet Browning; and a host of family members that dearly love him.

Visitation will be 2 to 4pm on Friday, January 13, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, followed by a celebration of Justin's life at 4pm.
