June Ann Franke, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 17, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 22, 1936 to the late George & Wilma Streckfuss and was raised alongside one sibling.
June worked as a beautician for a short time but mostly stayed home taking care of her family. She was an avid U of L, Notre Dame Football, and St. Xavier High School sports fan. She could often be found cheering on her favorite team, surrounded by her faithful furry companions.
June was preceded by her husband of almost 47 years, Charles E. Franke, and her sister, Carol. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Judy Franke & Paul Franke, as well as other relatives and friends who all will miss her dearly.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, 40243) from 9:00am – 12:00pm with service to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (200 SE 1st Street, Ste 800, Miami, FL 33131) & the Animal Care Society (12207 Westport Rd, Louisville KY 40245).
