Jueneice Dawson

Jueneice Dawson was born April 4, 1957, in Athens, Alabama, to the late Hazel Mae Dawson Whaley and the late Eddie Chambers.

She attended Shawnee High School. She graduated from Watterson College with a degree in nursing. Jueneice worked at numerous nursing facilities. In her later years she decided to work as an in home caregiver until she was disabled.

Jueneice was a loving, caring, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was a University of Louisville basketball fan and she also loved watching old cowboys movies. Jueneice was generous and enjoyed cooking. She loved the Lord and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jueneice leaves to cherish her memories, a sister, Rosita Woodard; brothers, Cecil Simmons, Zachary Whaley, Shane Whaley and Muhummad Abdullah and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Jueneice's life beginning at 1pm.

Jueneice will be laid to rest at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
