Judy Gayle Norton

April 15, 1946 — December 4, 2024

New Albany, Indiana

Judy Gayle Norton, graced this world on April 15, 1946, and left it far too soon on December 4, 2024. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, nature, and an artistic spirit that touched everyone she encountered.

From her earliest days, Judy found joy in the simple, yet profound beauty of nature. Her love for flowers was evident in the vibrant blooms that filled her garden. Her artistic talents flourished into a passionate endeavor, making her a gifted painter whose work reflected her deep appreciation for the world around her.

She leaves behind her children: Rhonda Thomas (Myron), Lynda Lee (Mike), and Charles "Mike" Rawlings (Tammy). Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren - Shelby Baumann (Nolen), Dylan Thomas, Marshal Lee, Mick Rawlings, and Briar Rawlings. Judy is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Pickens, Eric Hughes, and Veronica Bowman.

She joins her husband, John Norton, in eternal rest, along with her parents, Howard Hughes and Lucille Clemons Hughes, her siblings Beverly Terry, Brenda Hughes, and Daniel Hughes; and her granddaughter, Tessa Rawlings.

As we say goodbye to Judy, we remember a soul who found inspiration in every blossom and brushstroke. Her legacy of love and creativity will surely bloom in the hearts she touched, and while she may have departed this earthly realm, the beauty of her spirit will forever linger in the gardens of our memories.

Cremation was chosen following Judy's wishes.
