Judith Marie Wheatley

Judith Marie (Buren) Wheatley, 83, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. Judy was a long-time supporter of Mount St. Francis. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all the friends she held close.

She was born on January 15, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Simon Caye Buren Jr. and Ruth Conn Buren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Patrick Wheatley; and her brothers-in-law, Chet Reynolds, Donnie Wheatley, and Charlie Wilbert.

Judy is survived by her son, Jeff (Hilary) Wheatley; daughter, Jennifer Azure; grandchildren, Conner Wheatley, Keenan Wheatley, Ashley (Jason) Harrell, Dalton Baylor (Alaina); siblings, Ruth Ann Reynolds, Simon Caye (Nicole) Buren III, and Mary Lou (Ted) Richards; sisters-in-law, Betty Wheatley and Rosie Wilbert; and great-grandchildren, Kayden, Ashton, Xavier, and Liliana.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (320 N Sherwood Ave, Clarksville) from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at the church with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy's memory can be made to Mount Saint Francis (101 St. Anthony Drive, Mount St. Francis, IN 47146).
